: A important motivation for the third edition of the multilingual demographic dictionary. For this unified second edition which reflects society and demographic situations up to 1987 (publication of the German edition) only. I think that the current redaction is fine, but you can propose a redaction. To be checked.--[[User:Nicolas Brouard|Nicolas Brouard]] ([[User talk:Nicolas Brouard|talk]]) 08:16, 8 November 2017 (CET)

501-3 same sex union (Double checked)

Might be good to mention homosexual unions since almost a dozen countries recognize them now.--Stan BECKER 18:26, 25 November 2014 (CET)

A important motivation for the third edition of the multilingual demographic dictionary. For this unified second edition which reflects society and demographic situations up to 1987 (publication of the German edition) only. I think that the current redaction is fine, but you can propose a redaction. Double checked.--Nicolas Brouard (talk) 08:16, 8 November 2017 (CET)

502-3-4 monogamous or populygamous societies (Waiting for a simpler formulation)

  • I would not say a society is poly or mono.--Stan BECKER 18:26, 25 November 2014 (CET)

Keep it simple and say a marriage is monogamou s or polygamous. Counterexample is the country of Mali has both mono and poly societies???? It does not sound right.--Stan BECKER 18:26, 25 November 2014 (CET)

I think that you are right but I don't know how to formulate. Could you change the sentences? - To be checked.--Nicolas Brouard (talk) 08:25, 8 November 2017 (CET)
